First of all — if you’re reading this, you already made an excellent life choice by booking a trip with Follow the Fro Tours. Truly. Elite decision-making.

That said, we know life happens, and while we hope you never need this section, we believe in being very clear and very upfront about how cancellations work so there are no surprises later.

Below you’ll find our cancellation policies based on the type of trip you’re booking.

Cancellation & Refund Policy (Safari & Permit-Based Trips)

We want to be as transparent as possible so you can book with confidence and know exactly what to expect.

Because safari and permit-based trips require advance payments for things like gorilla permits, park fees, and locally contracted services, all deposits are strictly non-refundable.

If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your booking to another traveler, subject to approval. Any name-change or amendment fees charged by our partners will be the responsibility of the traveler.

Refunds for payments made beyond the deposit are not guaranteed and depend entirely on what costs can be recovered from our local suppliers.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations due to personal circumstances, including illness, flight issues, or schedule changes. For this reason, comprehensive travel insurance is required or strongly encouraged for all travelers.

Cancellation & Refund Policy (Polar Expeditions & Expedition Cruises)

Polar expeditions operate under different terms due to the scale and complexity of chartered ships, permits, and logistics.

For these trips, cancellation and refund policies are governed by the expedition company Follow the Fro Tours is partnering with for that specific voyage. This includes timelines for cancellations, refund eligibility, and any applicable penalties.

By booking a polar expedition through Follow the Fro Tours, you agree to the cancellation policy of the expedition operator, which will be provided prior to booking and outlined in your booking confirmation.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, interruption, and medical coverage.
